Frequently asked questions
Is the Ewha Global Partnership Program for undergraduate or graduate study?
Both. EGPP funds women at the bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and combined master's-doctoral levels. Undergraduate freshmen are funded for up to 8 semesters and transfers for up to 4, master's students for up to 4, and doctoral or combined students for up to 6.
Who is eligible for EGPP?
Women who are citizens of a developing country on the OECD DAC list of ODA recipients, applying through Ewha's special admission for international applicants, and who show leadership potential. The applicant and both parents must be non-Korean.
What does EGPP cover?
Full tuition including the admission fee, the dormitory housing fee for students living on campus, and a monthly stipend. Ewha does not publish a fixed stipend figure, so confirm the current amount with the International Student Affairs Team.
How do I apply for EGPP?
You apply for it together with your admission. Fill out the Scholarship Application Form (Form 4), save it as a PDF, and upload it with your online application during the international admission window. There is no separate scholarship deadline.
Do I need to speak Korean for EGPP?
Freshman undergraduate applicants do not need a language test to apply, but all undergraduates must reach TOPIK Level 4 before they graduate (except the Division of International Studies). Transfer and graduate applicants need TOPIK Level 4, or an English test such as TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0.
Why this scholarship matters
One of very few fully funded Korean awards open to women at the bachelor's level, not just for graduate study. Selection weighs leadership potential alongside grades, and you apply for it with your admission (Scholarship Form 4), so there is no separate scholarship cycle to miss.
